Slabs of TEDP were on sale for only $2 more than a slab of your garden variety TED, so I decided to give them a shot.
They are supposedly triple filtered, fermented for longer [hence the 6.5% alcohol content] and they come in 3 packs of 8 for some reason.
After taking my first sip the next thing I did was check the used by date. I’m not sure how a triple filtered beer can taste watery, stale and tinny at the same time but this one somehow manages it.
Verdict: Should be named Tooheys Extra Dry Zinc, or perhaps Boron.

i dont understand how anyone cannot love the sweet sweet taste of TEDP, how? i just love it and cant get enough. everybody just needs to sit back, have a drink of tooheys platinum and relax. it’s a great tasting beer with good strong alcohol content. its about time!

forget tedp, try carlsberg’s elephant beer, it’s 7.2% alcohol garuntees a strong but unique taste in beer, i reccomend all to try and im sure u wont be let down
Elephant is too strong at first imho. But once you get used to it, it tastes quite good.
Tooheys Extra Platnium is by far the best beer you can usually get at your local liquor store. It has a great taste and of course is very strong (be careful don’t drink too many lol).
Some people don’t like the taste of it, I find the taste to be nice and crisp. Only above average taste though.
TEDP is a fairly average beer…the best part about them is that they are 6.5% and once you’ve smashed a few of them down you can’t taste anything anyways lol. I’ll stick with my garden variety TEDS or Hahn Super Dry
THE TOP FLAP OF THE 8 PACK HAS SHARP CORNERS. I HAVE NOW STABBED MY ARM TWICE PULLING OUT A BEER. I NOW HAVE TO CUT THESE CORNERS OFF. NOT GOOD PACKAGING BUT A GREAT BEER

But if you are after a binge, the 6.5% alcohol and crisp sweet taste makes it easy to drink. Perhaps it is marketed at the teens ?
if it was targeted at teens they would of added some kind of lolly pop flavour. tooheys platinum is made for only the men, and the men who know good beer. thats the end of it
